COVID-19 Treatment Center

This treatment center is a solution to the burden covid-19 brought to the world. It is meant to serve as a temporary extension to hospitals. The sites proposed are open parking lots of schools and malls due to their close proximity to the residents. The mini center is composed of six types of modules: a lounge, a disinfection area, a sanitized area, a testing window, restrooms and beds. Two separated entries one for medical staff, another for patients. The building’s linear layout, and modular design allowed for flexibility, expand-ability, and relocatability. The use of modular construction permitted fast assembly of this structure, estimated at one week only. This proposal was delivered to the office of Los Angeles mayor as an attempt to help the city fight against the virus.
